The story of Linkin Park began in the late 1990s in Southern California, when three high school friends dreamed of developing a new rock-meets-rap genre. In the early years, the band had about as many member changes as they did names, tyring on SuperXero, Xero, Hybrid Theory, and Lincoln Park, before landing for good on alt-spelling Linkin Park. While working on their new album A Thousand Suns in 2010, Linkin Park produced the score for the success full film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. In June 2011, it was revealed that Linkin Park has begun working on a new album.
